Different shift assignments allow for flexibility and safety. Your team Cleveland’s technology and automation is innovative. It is the U.S. sole source for plastic pour bottles, glass IV, and various reconstitution devices. This facility produces a number of major product lines with a diverse array of automated manufacturing technologies ranging from bottle solution filling, injection molding, tubing extrusion, and device assembly. Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Mechanical proficiency required.
  • Capability to comprehend and interpret computer control documents and specifications.
  • Computer proficient and ability to use software applications.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
  • Able to complete documentation legibly.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work optimally and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland Visual Acuity procedure CL-01-01-037.
  • Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and climb cross-over ladders.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds repetitively.
  • Must be able to work with and without direct supervision.
  • Ability to read, write, count, use calculator, use support equipment (Measuring Devices/Smart Scope/CMM machine) and maintenance tools.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and/or be trained to do so.
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical experience, training, or education a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of quality and safety procedures and regulations a plus.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley controls a plus.
  • Trained as forklift driver preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to operate a dedicated machine center or work cell, duties also include the material handling and reloading of raw materials during the process operation.
  • Record machine parameters per operating procedures.
  • Perform line clearance, and quality checks to machine.
  • Perform mechanical adjustments to machine as trained in duties outlined.
  • Use blueprints, specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product or process acceptability.
  • Report abnormalities and corrective action to supervision.
  • Participate in the training of new personnel.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the working area and lead 6S responsibilities as assigned to area and equipment.
  • Record shift performance on daily visual tracking and record reasons for equipment performance.
  • Record reasons for downtime and scrap into data collection systems.
  • Escalate downtime and quality issues to appropriate levels over the course of production.
  • Change material successfully, startup and shutdown machine(s).
  • Responsible for start-up and readiness of machine and support equipment prior to production (Daily/Weekly/Quarterly Cleaning).
  • Must complete production documentation associated with the operation and review batch documentation for correctness/completion.
  • Perform relief duties for other personnel when required, including Production Technician.
