The Transload Operator's primary responsibility is to safely unload and switch railcars in a timely manner. The position of Transload Operator is responsible for the daily unloading of materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquids. This role requires the ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies, to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment, to operate or learn to operate Class 1 locomotives, to perform or learn to perform switch operations, and to perform work safely and productively. Additionally, there is an interest in being cross-trained on all functions at the facility, performing general maintenance on equipment, and assisting with handyman duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep & painting). The operator will also interact with plant personnel, railroad crews, and visitors.
