These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage: A culture that appreciates our Team Members We provide Uniforms & PPE (laundering included) $200/year steel-toe boot allowance Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off (PTO) Profit Sharing Excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with match Here is what you will be doing: Daily unloading of materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquid and dry products, including hazardous materials Operate railcar loading systems and equipment Cross-trained on all functions at the facility Enforces safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep, and painting) Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team members, and visitors Rotating Shift- Days/Nights

Requirements

  • Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium-sized equipment, etc.)
  • Travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary; may be for up to a week at a time
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills (light data entry)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Climb up and down rail cars/ladders safely
  • Work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing temps)
  • Willing to work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team members, and visitors
