About the position

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc. The role involves packing quality finished goods into boxes for shipment and assisting the Technician with basic line issues in a safe and efficient manner. The job requires consistent and safe operation of machines at standard setpoints, maintaining quality specifications and output targets, troubleshooting and correcting machine-related problems, and providing support to less experienced personnel. The employee will also complete hourly production output documentation and required quality checks, inspect for defective products, and adhere to all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently and safely operates machines at standard setpoints.
  • Operate equipment to maintain quality specifications and output targets.
  • Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments.
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Complete hourly production output documentation and required quality checks.
  • Inspect and recognize defective products and make machine adjustments to correct defects.
  • Observe all housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Manual Dexterity.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Hand/eye coordination.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Math skills (calculators to determine and record hourly production data).
  • Experience with basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor machine issues.
  • Understanding of production measurement tools such as calipers and custom measuring gauges.
  • Knowledge of product quality standards and specification sheets.
  • Basic understanding of geometrical shapes and measurements.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn through reading instructions and hands-on training.
  • Principles of Extrusion and/or Thermoforming a plus.
  • Experience with automation equipment preferred but not required.
