The Operator Trainee position is based in Dayton, NJ, on the 2nd shift with a pay rate of $22.46/hr. The primary duties include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be computer savvy, and have a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform a wide range of tasks including stacking corrugated product and conducting quality checks.
  • Material set-up and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Familiarity with machines and task hazards; set-up and troubleshoot.
  • Understand set-up, run and clean-up procedures; all industry standards and tolerances.
  • Read a production order and generate load tags.
  • Learn how to use KIWI (FFF) Computer System.
  • Follow LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) Procedures.
  • Inspect corrugated product/strike boxes.
  • Participate in Inventory (Rollstock, Raw Materials and Finished Goods).
  • Operate various manufacturing equipment and follow specific directions.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
  • Work safely and autonomously while complying with all safety regulations.
  • Lift, push or pull 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.
  • Work daily overtime, weekend work, and other shifts as required.
