About The Position

This a great opportunity to join Texstar as a CDL Driver/Equipment Operator/Laborer. A successful CDL Driver will be responsible for driving and transporting various items to and from job sites.

Requirements

• Must have a CDL Class 'A' driver's license.
• Minimum two (2) years of previous experience or training.
• Heavy equipment operation experience (mini excavator, digger derrick, directional drill).
• Knowledge and understanding of safety systems associated with equipment operation including set-up and emergency procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of loading, unloading, securing and transport procedures for equipment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the proper care of equipment including hours of service requirements.
• Ability to do math equations and summaries for reporting work completed.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Hold and maintain a CDL Class 'A' driver's license and clean driving record (no DUIs or serious traffic violations).
• Responsible for cleanliness of vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports equipment/material to various destinations.
• Responsible for loading, unloading and securing all cargo.
• Make sure all loads are properly secured per DOT and company regulations.
• Obtain all necessary permits before transporting when necessary.
• Follow all safety rules at all times.
• Follow DOT Regulations and keep all required paperwork handy at all times.
• Maintain hours of service log.
• Do not engage in unsafe acts.
• Attend and participate in all safety meetings and training.
• Use all prescribed safety equipment required to safely do the job.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions to immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel.
• Report any and all injuries, accidents and/or incidents immediately to immediate Supervisor.
