About The Position

This position is a sugar solution process that makes different types of sugar mixes that is provided to the sugar shelling rooms. There is 1 operator that runs this room and is responsible for following formulas, specifications; maintain 5s, paperwork, general manufacturing practices (GMP’s), sanitations, safety, and reporting inefficiencies while keeping an accurate inventory.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well-organized with high attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully prioritize workload.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Ability to perform basic reading skills, such as: reading labels, formulas, and directions.
• Knowledge of measurement, percentages, and ratios.
• Ability to communicate and write effectively in English.
• Dependable and adaptable to a fast pace work environment.

Responsibilities

• Report food, employee safety, and quality issues to their supervisor.
• Follow allergen procedures as required.
• Meet or exceed efficiencies while communicating inefficiencies (down time).
• Perform sanitation steps as trained.
• Document all production, quality, safety and sanitation reports accurately and clearly as required.
• Be in their department as required and ready to work at required times (tag in tag out).
• Follow all general manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
• Report scrap according to procedure.
• Present continuous improvement ideas to their supervisor or department lead.
• Work together as a team.
• Maintain 5s by keeping their area clean and organized.
• Turn batch order packets into supervisor upon completion of scheduled production.
• Validate transfers and consume correctly and keep an accurate inventory.
• Check all transfer of colors coming in on a weekly basis.
• Weigh colors, sugar, gum, and titanium materials accurately according to the formula.
• Report as finished all solutions accurately according to the formula.
• Check physical to actual inventory on each shift.
• Ensure the bill of materials (BOM) matches the formula.
