SUMMARY: Ringing and accounting of all checks and revenues in the Carolina Dining Room and Room Service. The Room Service Operator is the contact point for all guests ordering room service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Making sure that orders are received correctly
  • Answer the phone using proper procedures.
  • Check all orders for accuracy prior to delivery from Room Service.
  • Assist servers in setting and checking orders.
  • Responsible for day to day operation of InfoGenesis in Room Service and Cashier station for Carolina Dining Room
  • Must insure that all tickets are signed and turned in before shift end
  • Responsible for ringing in a guest check; receiving monies and closing the system along with the appropriate paperwork for posting
  • Maintain clean work station and supplies to include: ribbons, tapes, vouchers, pens
  • Train all new hires on Info Genesis procedures
  • Weekly review of outlet Settlement Reports following Night Audit procedures (see attached Night Audit procedures)
  • Report any variances to AM/PM Operation Managers
  • Insure accurate posting of all group tickets, coupons - from servers - as specified through BEOs, CSMs and resumes. Cashier to process tickets and return to server at Cashier's Desk.
  • Copy of all BEOs with closeout to be provided to Food and Beverage Admin. Asst.
  • Report any issues in a timely manner to AM/PM Operation Managers regarding irregularities
  • Ringing of all checks breaking down dinner, wine, beer and liquor for tracking purposes
  • Accounting for all cash receipts.
  • Accounting for all charges breaking down into credit card, member and room charges.
  • Separation and organization of all checks into separate categories
  • Organization of waiter sales tracking for gratuity distribution
  • Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled
  • In this position you will be expected to be available to work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels. In addition, you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.
