About The Position

The Dairy Operator position involves setting up and operating various filling, bottle handling, and labeling equipment. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing machinery and support equipment, completing required documentation such as production numbers, lot numbers, trailer numbers, weights, downtime, and chemical concentrations. The role requires the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and pull a stack of six cases weighing up to 216 pounds. Operators must work with various chlorinated alkali cleaners and acid sanitizers and follow USDA protocols regarding illness and food handling procedures. The position may require working various shifts, holidays, and weekends based on business needs, along with other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of dairy GMP’s.
  • Prior machine experience with high-speed packaging and labeling equipment.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 10,000 pints an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 5,600 quarts an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 3,600 half gallons an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 3,000 gallons an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 9,000 8oz plastic an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 50 dispensers an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to average a minimum output of 13,000 8oz or 4oz cartons an hour during shifts.
  • Ability to work independently adhering to Wawa safety and productivity standards.
  • Prior experience in a food-processing environment with a focus on quality.
  • Certification in the operation of a riding pallet jack and a sit-down forklift.
