About The Position
The principal tasks of the Paint Room Operator are as follows: 1. Loads and unloads parts and hangers on conveyor lines and belt type washers and places separators between parts as required. 2. Visually checks production to ensure that parts meet quality standards. 3. Starts and stops conveyors as necessary to load and unload conveyors. 4. Places hangers in proper storage location and/or in burn off oven for cleaning. 5. Performs various assembly functions such as riveting, packing, and labeling. 6. Performs housekeeping duties as required or required. 7. Adheres to all plant and departmental safety rules. 8. Informs set-up or supervisor of any equipment or material problems. 9. Responsible for paperwork necessary for labor reporting. 10. Moves materials from workstations within department.
Requirements
- Able to read, write, and follow instructions.
- Use simple arithmetic.
- Accuracy in checking counts and keeping records.
- Moderate physical effort continuously handling light weights or frequently average weights.
