About The Position

As an Operator Packaging Machine at Lamb Weston, you will tend to machines that perform various packaging functions such as filling, marking, labeling, banding, tying, packing, or wrapping containers. Your role will involve ensuring the quality of workmanship through continual observation and necessary adjustments to the assigned line. You will also be responsible for maintaining food safety sanitation standards and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assure quality of workmanship by continual observation of the assigned line and performing necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure proper bag sealing.
  • Ensure proper operation of metal detector and check weigher.
  • Ensure proper replacement of bags in the cases.
  • Adjust case shakers and sealers, including glue patterns.
  • Perform operator level maintenance on assigned packaging lines.
  • Ensure correct and legible case codes.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area and keep walkways free of product and debris.
  • Clean floors and equipment during breaks.
  • Dispose of product rejected by metal detectors according to policy.
  • Use and change hand dips in the prescribed manner.
  • Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures on all equipment.
  • Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
