This position operates, monitors and adjusts the packaging equipment in a manner consistent with safety, food safety, quality, and production standards.
Requirements
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. ( Requirement may vary by location).
- Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility .
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are . If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
- Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred .
Responsibilities
- Monitors Line Sanitation, Ink-jet coder, Bagger operation, Dyna-pack operation, Settlers and Case sealers
- Performs routine metal detector checks to ensure proper function of metal detectors.
- Monitors line flow rates. Including regular checks for proper feed of product through baggers .
- Monitors and adjust vibrators to gain optimum bagger performance.
- Orders packaging material
- Ensures proper container sizing
- Records packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime, and fills out reports accurately and correctly.
- Responsible for ensuring complete packaging quality of product taking regular checks or weights, seals codes, glue patterns, etc.
- Complete CIL’s and centerlines.
- Participates in AMD Drumbeats.
- Reworks product when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
