This position operates, monitors and adjusts the packaging equipment in a manner consistent with safety, food safety, quality, and production standards.

Requirements

  • Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. ( Requirement may vary by location).
  • Must be able to be qualified within time frames established by facility .
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are . If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.
  • Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Monitors Line Sanitation, Ink-jet coder, Bagger operation, Dyna-pack operation, Settlers and Case sealers
  • Performs routine metal detector checks to ensure proper function of metal detectors.
  • Monitors line flow rates. Including regular checks for proper feed of product through baggers .
  • Monitors and adjust vibrators to gain optimum bagger performance.
  • Orders packaging material
  • Ensures proper container sizing
  • Records packaging machinery efficiencies, downtime, and fills out reports accurately and correctly.
  • Responsible for ensuring complete packaging quality of product taking regular checks or weights, seals codes, glue patterns, etc.
  • Complete CIL’s and centerlines.
  • Participates in AMD Drumbeats.
  • Reworks product when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
