About The Position

Join our team Fallon, NV safety conscious team! Our Refinery Operator Lead is responsible for and not limited to cleaning or changing out of pump strainers, inline filters, sampling tank and production lines, replacing PPE drums, pumps up re-use drums, empties all containment bins, and replaces dirty oil absorbent pads. Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year in a lead role preferred.
  • 3+ year in a production driven environment preferred.
  • 3+ year in an industrial preferred.
  • Experience working in a labor-intensive role.
  • Refinery operations experience is an asset.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Work in all weather conditions with good housekeeping skills.
  • Follow direction and take initiative.
  • Works well independently and in a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, work at heights and stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Refinery operations experience.
  • Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Follow the direction of the lead operator handling all plant operations and perform necessary adjustments to the plant.
  • Follow proper tower operating procedures.
  • Perform rounds of the process units, boiler, and cooling tower.
  • Work independently as well as in a team.
  • Samples process streams and assists with tank farm operations.
  • Completes tank transfers to control inventory.
  • Obtains routine process samples to verify product quality.
  • Switches and changes process filters.
  • Completes housekeeping tasks within the refinery.
  • Perform all assigned tasks ensuring that Safety is the Number One Priority.
