About The Position

The Operator Mechanic is responsible for ensuring that assigned equipment is ready for startup and changeovers at the Conagra manufacturing facility. This role involves visually inspecting equipment, making necessary adjustments, and assisting mechanics with minor repairs while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. The position requires regular attendance and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient production process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year maintenance or related experience
• Knowledge of GMP's
• Be LOTO certified
• Knowledge of planned maintenance
• Knowledge of basic hand tools
• Basic math skills
• Good safety record and complete all necessary trainings

Responsibilities

• Verify product for startup
• Ensure equipment is ready for startup/changeovers performing pre-start checks
• Visually inspect equipment to ensure it is operating according to standards making adjustments
• Complete centerline inspections to identify defects
• Grease seals and bearings, clean, inspect, and replace belts
• Assist mechanics with minor repairs, replacements, and modifications to equipment
• Assist mechanics with Planned Maintenance (PM)
• Teardown equipment for changeover/sanitation
• Complete daily paperwork (e.g., centerline reports, scale audits, PM/AM sheets)
• Keep work area free from debris to maintain a safe and efficient production process
• Participate in production line drumbeats
• General housekeeping (e.g., sweeping, wiping down guards, removal of contaminants, etc.)
