The Operator Master is the expert level classification in the Equipment Operator series. The Equipment Operator Master performs mastery duties and demonstrates expert operation of heavy equipment used in the construction, maintenance, and repair of county roads and right-of-ways. Operates medium and heavy equipment, such as skid steer, motor grader, dozer, excavator, backhoe, front end loader, tandem-axel trucks, tractor-trailer or truck and trailer combination. Duties vary by district and may include operation of equipment in the preparation of final asphalt overlay, hauling materials, and assisting in graveling roads, shoveling, raking, sweeping, traffic control, and snow and ice control. Assist with manual labor for asphalt roads, gravel roads, and culvert maintenance, repair and construction. Act as a lead worker/operator for small field crews when assigned. Please note there are positions available at both the Evergreen & Shaffers Crossing shop. COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $39.44 – $47.32 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.
