To operate a variety of different machines used in the department such as fruit cup, box filler, tub fillers and coding equipment and any potential future machinery.

Requirements

Familiar with food processing equipment and operation a plus.
Mechanical experience desired.
Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and overtime as assigned.
Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Occasional handling of heavy drums

Responsibilities

Operate machines (ex: fruit cup, box filler, tub fillers and coding equipment and any potential future machinery)
Stack and form cases to relieve crew members occasionally
Check labels, tubs, lids and cases against daily orders
Must maintain high quality and production standards
Make running adjustments and repairs and constantly check on equipment
Change codes
Keep machine and area clean
Ensure proper weights and properly fill out weight sheets
Monitor proper seals and/or secure closures on the different containers and ensure proper label application
Follow company policies
Follow safety procedures
Follow food safety programs
Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
Will work in Production (Bracket IX or X depending on employment status) according to seniority number, at that pay rate, when not scheduled in specialty job
Limited supervision of Product Handlers handling finished product produced by the different machinery.
