About The Position

The primary duties are to set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines ensuring parts conform to specification and requirements. The role involves monitoring parts dimensions using jigs, fixtures, gages, calipers, micrometers, and height gages to assure conformity of parts. Additionally, the position requires completing paperwork required to document the quality of parts completed, checking paperwork to determine required assembly and any special options, and assembling components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and sub-assemblies, per customer order. The use of precision measuring tools to check parts for correct fit and dimensions is also essential. The role includes building electrodes for Fast Hole EDM.

Requirements

• Must have two years of experience in a production/shop position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide and may work with fractions, decimals or percentages.
• Able to follow simple instructions or directions.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing regarding work requirements, work in progress, or work completion.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
