Operator/Lineman II
About The Position
Work with a small construction team to install, repair, or replace overhead and underground communication lines. Knowledge and physical ability to place, construct, maintain, or remove outside plant facilities. Implements and carries out instructions from foreperson. Must be able to work aloft by means of bucket truck, ladders or climbing utility poles. Establishes a safe working area by observing company safety procedures at all times. Knowledge of damage prevention and hand dig best practices. Operates and assists with troubleshooting of construction equipment. Ability to read work site drawings and assemble materials required to complete work tasks. Work overtime, after-hours, weekends, holidays and available for emergency call outs as needed. Observes all company safety procedures at all times. Inspects work to determine and ensure compliance with prescribed operating and safety standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma is required for the role.
- 1 year of Construction experience is Required.
- 1 year of Telecommunications experience is Required.
- The ability to safely work and communicate with construction team members.
- Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Work Zone Traffic Certification.
- Working aloft and confined space training.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's/Technical Degree - two years is preferred for the role.
