About The Position

The Operator position in Linden, New Jersey, is responsible for operating and maintaining terminal and product stored on-site using established procedures. This role involves performing tank gauging, sample gathering, testing, and routine maintenance. The operator will oversee product receiving, truck loading, and the upkeep of the terminal facility. The job requires shift work, including weekends and holidays, and operators must be prepared to deal with all atmospheric conditions such as heat, cold, and rain while performing their duties. Key responsibilities include handling cargo hoses and valves, preparing and reviewing required documentation, conducting inspections, monitoring and operating equipment, and maintaining security and safety protocols. The operator will also gauge tanks, handle and test product samples, verify communications with delivery companies, and ensure safe product receipt. Routine terminal maintenance, testing and inspecting equipment, supervising truck loading operations, and attending safety meetings are also essential aspects of the role.
