About The Position

Precision Glass Molding is a unique lens manufacturing technology in the optics industry. As opposed to the traditional method of grinding and polishing a lens, we use high temperature and pressure to transform a simple lens blank made from optical grade glass, into a more complex lens. The molding takes place within a specialized machine in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in precision manufacturing, machining, molding, or related manufacturing settings.
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to multi-task and stay focused and follow directions.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to communicate effectively to team members and management.
  • A solid grasp of basic math concepts for measurements and calculations.
  • A U.S. Person: Compliant with ITAR, EAR and other laws and regulations as defined: “U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents ("Green Card" holders), persons granted refugee status or asylum status in the United States, or temporary residents granted amnesty.”
  • Results-Oriented: Motivated, hard-working and ready to level-up;

  • Previous Optical Experience a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Operate glass molding press machines, including loading and unloading components with care and precision.
  • Accurately record daily production metrics and maintain essential data logs.
  • Conduct visual inspections of lenses to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Use micrometers and other tools to perform precise mechanical measurements.
  • Organize and load lenses into trays for further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic—these are critical to success in this role.
  • Apply independent judgment when evaluating part quality for downstream operations.
  • Adhere strictly to established procedures and safety protocols for all tasks.
