About The Position

Purpose/Description Set up, operate, or tend machines that perform a variety of food preparation functions. Program, feed, monitor, assemble, and disassemble machines. Transport product to and from machines. Weigh product and perform quality checks.

Requirements

  • MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD TO APPLY AND NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN HIGH SCHOOL

Responsibilities

  • Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality
  • Monitor the production line
  • Inspect and remove defective products
  • Start machine by engaging controls.
  • Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
  • Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
  • Supply materials to spindles, conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices
  • Clean production equipment.
