About The Position

Hello! We are looking for a dedicated Machine operator to join the family! Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer born out of a family farm. Today, Del Real Food makes tamales, carnitas, salsas, and other recipes inspired by the Cardenas' native Jalisco -- all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial.

The Machine operator works under close supervision and following the appropriate GMP’s the team member will set up and operate machines for production department.

Requirements

• Basic Knowledge of USDA Establishment.
• Basic Knowledge of the Cryovac, Hot Pack Machines, and/or Smi Pack
• Basic Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures and employee safety practices.
• Basic knowledge of company employee policies.
• Must be responsible and fast learner.
• Must have good organization skills
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in machine operating (Food Industry is a plus)

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety procedures
• Report any unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor or manager
• Follow, Monitor, and Enforce all food safety procedures
• Follow and enforce SQF requirements (Facilities, Equipment, SSOP, SOP, GMP’s, and ETC)
• Follow and enforce USDA & FDA guidelines and regulations.
• Follow Company Policies, Regulations, and Lunch & Break Policies
• Perform basic machine troubleshooting to keep them running at all times
• Verify that equipment is in good working condition and report to his/her immediate supervisor when machines have a malfunction.
• Informs immediate Supervisor/Lead when product is out of specification and when non-conformances occur.
• Follow the company’s allergen program
• Remain in designated work areas
• Clean and maintain assigned area in safe sanitary condition, ensuring product safety
• Must have a positive attitude when helping peers, leaders, or supervisors.
• Assist packing team in the completion of their orders
