Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent (Educación Diversificada diploma-CR)
- Entry level, 0-2 years of production or assembly experience
- Basic knowledge of equipment operation
- Ability to recognize obvious equipment issues and report them to Supervisor
- Cross-Training is limited to one or two lines or processes
- Basic math skills and familiarity with simple measurement tools
- Capable of completing production logs, quality control checklists, incident reports and other applicable production forms or documents
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to perform tasks safely and effectively
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and more experienced operators to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely
Responsibilities
- Basic machine operation
- Secondary operations
- Product assembly
- Inspection of product
- Basic responsibility for general safety of work area including basic machine safety
- Basic responsibility for 5S of work areas
- Assist with paperwork, reporting production output and scrap reporting
- May assist with scrap reduction efforts
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
