This role is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, a team that manages the logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics for Alcon's industry leading products to ensure products are delivered efficiently and effectively so that people can see brilliantly. The Operator I, Warehouse & Distribution Operations (Para-Professional & Support Path), is primarily responsible for handling tasks in warehouses and distribution centers, optimizing storage and material flows, and managing inventory and shipments. You will operate equipment, requiring technical skills and adherence to procedures at Johns Creek Distribution, In Johns Creek, GA. In this role, a typical day will include: Pick, stock, and pack in an accurate, safe, productive, and professional manner including the following: RF Cluster Picking, RF A-Frame/V-Frame Replenishment, OSR Replenishment, RF Cart Build, RF Audit Counting and RF Put Away. Ensure inventory integrity in the pick locations through cycle count process. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area. Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device. Inventory materials on work floor. Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting device. Meet daily expected/metrics. Exhibit good communication skills. Handle manual or operational tasks within warehouses and distribution centers to ensure smooth and efficient processes. Optimize storage space and material flows while maintaining safety and efficiency. Manage inventory and coordinate shipments. Operate equipment, which may require certification. Follow established procedures with minimal decision-making authority. Perform tasks according to procedures for efficient business operations.
