About The Position

Job Summary Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. Overview of Responsibilities (Powders Department) The Powders Production Operator reports to the Senior Team Lead and will be responsible for compounding solid and liquid flavors by weighing, blending mixing and sifting/milling, and packing of chemicals by following instructions, steps, and information on shop floor papers. Flavor Production Worker will also responsible for filling flavors as per instruction of shop floor paper. The duties of the Powders Production Operator include, but not are limited to: Maintain a safe working environment, utilize appropriate safety equipment, PPE and proactively improve the safety culture of department. Maintain processing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary and presentable condition; adhere to GMP with knowledge of food safety and HACCP programs. The candidate must able to work efficiently utilizing sound technical skills in weighing both liquid & powders accurately on an analytical balance. The position requires the candidate to have the ability to follow detailed instructions in the compounding of flavors. After finishing compounding, back flush the quantity of raw materials used from inventor in systems including SAP . Fill flavor samples and finish goods containers as per paperwork and process in the inventory system. Print and put required labels on stock containers, QC samples and samples for shipping. Replenish inventory as necessary. Must participate cross training programs including but not limited to (Rototherm/Extrusion Operations) Ability and willingness to work as part of a team to solve problems, develop procedures, recommend improvements, and help other departments as and when required. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic math, reading, computer skills, and able to read English.
  • Must be safety and quality focused.
  • Must be able to use of scale having accuracy of 0.001 grams and weigh small amounts of material accurately.
  • Able to understand and use the metric system, including conversion of weights.
  • Must be able to follow directions and understand Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to wear respirator.
  • Ability to operate forklift and other mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to lift 25 kg containers and handle 200kg drums and 50 kg bags.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high odor, team oriented environment.
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 2nd (3:30pm-11:50pm) and 3rd (11:30pm-7:50am) shift hours with required early, late and Saturday OT.
  • 2 years in chemical process manufacturing experience preferably for food manufacturing plant.

Nice To Haves

  • Powders compounding experience preferred.
  • SAP experience a plus.
