You will be working out of our Clayton, Mo location. Position Purpose: Responsible for monitoring the physical security and safety of the corporation's employees, facilities and property, organization wide. Using a wide assortment of security related systems; various business intelligence sources; open-source media, internet and proprietary tools, the operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others regarding any adverse conditions. Operators are responsible for the processing of physical security related service requests; assessing and processing incoming data; and determining in real-time the content and priority of reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years in the Physical Security industry, or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain St. Louis City & County Security Officer License Upon Hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operations center environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with physical security systems, such as access control, CCTV, and alarming preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security and safety conditions within the environment using a wide assortment of security related systems; various business intelligence sources; open-source media, internet and proprietary tools, e.g. closed-circuit television, assess control, analytics, etc.
  • Monitor and regulate facility access and egress of authorized pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
  • Operate applicable physical security systems and devices, e.g. closed-circuit television, access control and analytics.
  • Processing of physical security related service requests; assessing and processing incoming data; and determining in real-time the content and priority of reporting.
  • Respond to emergency situations; document security and safety incidents; send incident notifications in real time and follow up notifications regarding incident updates and clearances.
  • Maintain telephone and/or radio communications with physical security staff, business partners and property management.
  • Liaises with emergency medical services, the fire department, and law enforcement in the event of an emergency.
  • Process and evaluate information received, prioritizes calls and dispatch required field personnel and agencies as needed; act as a liaison between customer and other departments to resolve issues; escalate customer concerns to management when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
