About The Position

CEMEX is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to operate a dump truck (up to 150 tons) equipped with a dump body to transport and dump loose materials such as sand, gravel, and stone. The role involves driving and operating the truck, performing safety inspections, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

• Prior experience required with similar or same equipment or truck.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate truck to transport and dump materials.
• Pull lever or turn cranks to tilt body and dump contents.
• Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward or back to loosen and dump material adhering to body of the truck.
• Operate other mechanical equipment to load truck.
• Maintain and check equipment-mechanic and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare operational check list and report malfunctions requiring repair.
• Perform safety walk around inspection before shift.
• Fuel and clean the truck cab.
• Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed.
• Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times.
• Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.
