A Job Overview The Forklift Operator (Day shift, 6:00am – 2:30pm) is within our Auto/Car Care/Prestone division and is responsible for moving goods around warehouses using a sit-down forklift. This role is located at our Alsip, Illinois facility. The expected compensation for this position is an hourly rate of $20.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications and is bonus eligible. Your Role at Prestone Loading, unloading, storing and relocating materials within the warehouse and facility. Locating and moving stock for storage, shipment or production lines. Inspect completed pallets for visual damage or product leaks. Transporting raw materials to production workstations. Inspect equipment to determine the need for repairs and ensuring safety. Keeping updated records of inventory and activity logs. Complying with company policies and legal guidelines. Maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the facilities

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with personnel at all levels
  • Ability to perform at a high level of safety standards and requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing
  • Minimum of six (6) months sit-down forklift experience.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
