The position involves operating metal processing equipment while adhering to safe work habits. The role requires constant observation of processing operations to detect malfunctions and notify maintenance when necessary. Employees will be responsible for lifting raw materials, finished products, and packed items, either manually or with the use of hoists. Loading and unloading items from machines, conveyors, and other conveyances is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the role includes cleaning equipment during jams and following all safety procedures, such as LOTOTO, Fall Prevention, and Fire Prevention. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, and regular attendance and punctuality are critical job functions. The position also involves organizing materials for more effective use of space and disposing of waste materials appropriately. Inspection of the work area to ensure cleanup is completed and effective housekeeping practices are ongoing operations to ensure safety and hygiene for all team members. Driving a truck between loads and performing general labor in the yard and warehouse are also part of the job.
