About The Position

The Depalletizer and Forklift Operator reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, NC location. This individual will be responsible for operating the depalletizer and forklift associated with the line they have been assigned to in an efficient manner. Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail through many changes. This position is unique in the need for someone who has forklift training and also a level of mechanical aptitude. Shift: 6pm-6am.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• At least six months experience in a manufacturing environment operating a forklift and other production equipment
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task
• Must have excellent time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the food/beverage industry a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to stack and retrieve goods, supplies, and materials
• Operate forklift to load and unload trailers
• Operate forklift to load pallets of bottles or cans onto to depalletizer
• Once trained, ability to make proper adjustments to the depal settings, responsible for meeting depal KPIs related to downtime
• Troubleshoot when issues arrive
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Scan or record in Excel all pertinent information as required
• Work well as a team with other warehouse operators, production, and maintenance
• Have an awareness of, and adherence to, all safety requirements
• Strict adherence to all lock-out tag-out requirements
• Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position
• Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
• Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position
• Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
