About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. In this role, you will operate excavators, loaders, and dozers safely and efficiently in heavy highway construction environments. You will perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance, collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and safety standards, and follow site-specific safety protocols while reporting any hazards or incidents immediately. Additionally, you will assist with material movement, grading, and site preparation as directed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalency) AND prior relevant job experience
• CDL license (A or B) with Tanker endorsement is preferred
• Valid/Clean Driver's License
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must have the ability to work a varied schedule of day shift, night shift, and weekends due to construction contracts
• Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment (excavator and loader experience preferred)
• Working knowledge of methods, materials and tools used in typical site work, grading, storm/sanitary/water pipe installation, etc
• Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
