The position involves maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, while alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns. The role includes developing design drawings and specifications for field equipment, dies/tools, and controls using computer-assisted design and drafting software programs. The employee will employ mathematical formulas to develop specifications for machinery and design specific items. Coordination with field personnel is essential to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other issues. The position also requires assisting in the modification and revision of designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems. The employee will review and interpret specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. Additionally, maintaining documentation of design drawings and reproducing illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe the operation and maintenance of equipment and components to field personnel and clients is required. Ensuring that drafts and sketches align with company procedures, regulations, and client standards is also a key responsibility.
