General Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 1 Year Experience with Material Handling Equipment – at least one piece of equipment is required and multiple pieces are preferred (Reach Trucks, Counterbalance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker)
  • Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
  • Required to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
  • Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • General distribution knowledge.
  • Strong initiative and drive for results.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Safety vest and safety shoes required.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders including but not limited to scanning bar codes, picking pallets and labeling pallets
  • Process orders using RF technology, focusing on damage prevention
  • Load and off-load inbound and outbound shipments utilizing the WMS.
  • Report discrepancies between the inventory count and shipping/receiving documents.
  • Locate and retrieve products as well as replenishes picking locations.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to attendance policies.
  • Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
  • Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
  • Associates are responsible for performing their job activities in a safe and reasonable manner and in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • The associate must maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area at all times.
  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function specific, security awareness, security plan and safety training.
