About The Position

The Assembly/Operator Associate is responsible for assembling reusable and recyclable packaging interiors (dunnage) using a variety of hand tools and equipment. This role supports production goals by ensuring all products meet safety, quality, and delivery standards. Assemblies may include plastic corrugate and/or foam components and require attention to detail, teamwork, and flexibility across multiple work cells. Requirements

  • Ability to read print drawings and use a tape measure accurately
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in assembly manufacturing and/or as a machine operator

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts according to print drawings and work instructions.
  • Insert completed assemblies into plastic containers.
  • Perform self and peer quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
  • Immediately report safety concerns or quality issues to the Cell Lead, Set-Up Technician, or Supervisor.
  • Rotate between different work cells and machines as needed during the shift.
  • Verify correct parts and materials against work orders prior to assembly.
  • Calculate cycle time (takt time) to support production requirements.
  • Safely and effectively use basic hand tools, including: Rivet gun Handheld sonic welder Hot air welder Glue gun and glue line Manual hot wire bender
  • Develop operational knowledge of additional equipment, including: Baler Drill press Band saw
  • Successfully complete required training, including: Print Drawing Training Tape Measure Training 17–21 Day Training Program
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork related to assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Standardized Work (STW) documentation.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI), 5S, and STW initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
