About The Position

Employee will be helping the 4th shift team lead on issuing material to the production orders, picking material, and open boxes for the supermarket inventory. This position is responsible for the retrieval and control of Raw Material for the daily line functions in manufacturing. Daily cleaning of kitting areas including removal of cardboard and trash. And any other duties as assigned by the Team Lead/ Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to supervisor, management and other employees of the organization.
Ability to complete basic math calculations.
Convert English units of measure to metric.
The employee is often required to stand and reach with hands and arms and lifts and/or moves up to 30 pounds.
Employee is required to meet with other personnel in other areas of the building.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Employee is required to operate all types of material handling equipment.
High school education or equivalent preferred.
One or more years of warehouse and manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Procure carts to start the Kitting process
Confirm material are the same part number and lot number as applicable (Refer to the on-the-job Training)
Open Boxes to get the material to be Kitting
Put materials from the boxes in the carts
Allocate carts in designated area once all process is finished
Occasionally use of Forklift as need it (Refer to the on-the-job Training)
Pull raw material from the warehouse to manufacturing.
Provide packaging materials to the production lines (Refer to the on-the-job Training)
Pull return of materials from production floor
Use of the machine and conveyor for a better and secure box open process
Empty large trash and cardboard bins.
Sweep floors to maintain proper housekeeping requirement.
Pull pallets to lines from staging area.
Attends training sessions as directed.
Helps train production operators as directed
