About The Position

We are seeking candidate(s) to join our optical CNC machining/fabrication team. Under general supervision, you will operate and maintain the machines, perform part inspections, and ensure compliance with strict optical and mechanical specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings
• Basic understanding of CNC machinery and manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and follow safety guidelines

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with optical manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance
• Set up and adjust machines to meet part specifications
• Read blueprints and work instructions to determine part’s requirements
• Clean parts using acetone and other approved chemicals
• Inspect optical surfaces for quality and CMM measurement and other requirements
• Perform accurate data entry in computer systems
• Learn and support metrology processes
