About The Position

The position involves executing assigned production tasks in accordance with procedures to ensure the right levels of HSE, Quality, Service, and costs. The role requires active participation in safety programs, performing routine and complex assignments, and operating sophisticated equipment under general supervision. Responsibilities include taking ownership of production assets, performing daily production and maintenance tasks, reporting issues, ensuring production targets are met, and participating in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience in a paint manufacturing facility.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical processes.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and make decisions regarding trends, graphs, and charts.
  • Understand and perform basic functions of Lab Equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity of general mechanic's tools.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to perform frequent and repetitive lifting of materials weighing up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach & lift hoses, manipulate valves, and operate equipment.
  • Ability to work from heights up to 20-50 feet.
  • Ability to use and function with PPE as required.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts and hoists.
  • Ability to perform multiple duties and manage complex tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for process updates and shift turnover meetings.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participates in safety programs and performs daily checklists and 5S participation.
  • Performs routine, non-routine, and complex assignments and operates highly sophisticated equipment under general supervision.
  • Takes ownership of production assets and ensures they are operated safely and as per established procedures.
  • Performs daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration tasks as per procedures.
  • Reports safety, quality, or other issues related to products or production processes to Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
  • Ensures all production targets are met while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
  • Issues CAR or Hazard report when any relevant issue is noticed.
  • Provides progress updates to Team Leader/Shift Supervisor.
  • Attends and contributes to meetings.
  • Contributes to the investigation of HSE or quality issues.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement activities and programs.
  • Contributes to color adjustment activities in line with agreed procedures.
  • Complies with all applicable corporate, site, and laboratory policies/procedures.
  • Ensures proper collection of hazardous waste.
  • Responsible for contacting the Emergency Coordinator in case of leaks or spills.
  • Ensures proper filling, closing, marking, and labeling of containers following DOT requirements.
  • Responsible for the proper loading and unloading of bulk containers.
  • Participates in Management of Change (MOC), Incident Investigation, and other safety-related committees.
