About The Position

The Operations Trainer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and delivering relevant and engaging training that provides required content specific to the site. This position temporarily reports to the Sr. Manufacturing Manager and will eventually transition to a final organizational structure as the facility is built out. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, engineering or similar.
  • Requisite experience in a training role in a complex manufacturing facility may be substituted for education.
  • Passion for helping associates understand their work world and how it relates to Cytiva's commitment to quality and our customers.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of personalities and work environments to deliver the best experience.
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions in a variety of mediums regarding duties to be performed and trained on.
  • Conducts the design and development of eLearning, classroom, and hands-on trainings.
  • Uses learning principles to develop the appearance, organization, and functionality of learning systems and materials.

  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work together with different team members to create site and role specific curriculums, training materials and testing materials for associates.
  • Execute the Train the Trainer program to the site to support on the job training.
  • Act as a liaison between the business unit and the Learning and Development department with a focus on communication and needs analysis.
  • Work with subject matter experts and document owners to adjust forms, work instructions and procedures that will better align them to the work that is being done.
  • Complete this work within the expectations of the site's Quality Management System.
  • Develop task specific training by taking complex topics and break them down into easy to understand concepts by using classroom teachings, mentorship, and experiential learning.
  • Maintain a level of production expertise by routinely connecting with associates on the production floor sharpening personal skills and staying on top of changes within the business unit.
