About The Position

Operations Technician Level 2 is a skilled manufacturing professional who independently executes standard production processes and supports team objectives. This role applies to established procedures, recognizes abnormal conditions, and contributes to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proven understanding of process controls, quality requirements, and safety expectations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to get certified to operate forklift and telehandler
  • Able to acquire and maintain Employee Possessor (EP) status under the Safe Explosives Act (SEA).
  • Must possess a valid states driver's license
  • Must be able to work shift work, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to work with others at all levels of the organization
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing/operations experience
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality and supply chain
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and assorted hand tools
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to work a physically demanding day (stand for long periods; work from your knees; ascend and descend ladders; lift, bend, twist, push and pull up to 50 lb, etc) while wearing protective equipment (respirator, coveralls, gloves, eye and ear protection, etc).
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Tasks may include but are not limited to solid rocket motor manufacturing processes including tooling/assembly/disassembly, case surface prep, machining, and final assembly
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area and facilities, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Independently execute manufacturing operations in compliance with AS9100, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Participates as a team member to positively influence and enhance the safety, quality, cost and scheduling of their teams.
  • Champion safety culture and ensure strict adherence to explosive safety protocols.
