As Operations Technician Lead, you’ll be a subject matter specialist, leading team projects associated with pipeline operations, equipment maintenance, governmental compliance, technical standards and more. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum eight (8) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician in the oil and gas industry
  • Must be willing to: Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools
  • Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as needed
  • May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum eight (8) years of progressive operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facilities

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the development and implementation of pipeline operations, equipment maintenance and safety, including technical standards and governmental requirements
  • Serves as a subject matter specialist, providing technical or operational guidance to the team, including troubleshooting problems using existing precedents and procedures
  • Leads team projects or assignments of major scope or complexity that impact profitability
  • Follows Company policies and appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
  • Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
  • Coordinates awareness of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
  • Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
  • Provides mentorship to team members
  • Other duties as assigned
