SHIFT DET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Operations Tech, Utility performs operations, conducts in-process inspections per specifications, and prepares product for coating. This position reports to the Supervisor, Operations and works with a team of Operations Technicians and Quality Control Inspectors.

- Previous experience in a role that requires detail-oriented work handling small parts, such as jewelry repair, nail art, or tattoo art (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Prepare product surface for coating, which includes cleaning, marking and masking.
- Perform utility operation by spraying binder and beads on the product surface using brushes and other hand tools.
- Repeat this process multiple times on each product to achieve specifications.
- Inspect product per specifications visually.
- Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications
- Completes all required training.
- Use hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.
- Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.
- Dimensionally inspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.
- Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule.
- Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.
- Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products
- Reinforces safety expectations.
- Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated.
- Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
