About The Position

The Operations Support position at FS Companies is integral to maintaining the high standards of excellence associated with the FS brand, particularly in the agricultural and energy sectors. This role is based in West Liberty and reports directly to the Jasper County Manager. The Operations Support personnel are responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure efficient product sales, distribution, warehousing, and customer relations. This includes training and supervising staff, developing and implementing procedures for operational efficiency, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The position requires a proactive approach to inventory management, store management, equipment maintenance, and sales support, all aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational productivity. In terms of inventory management, the Operations Support role involves keeping accurate records and reports in line with company policies. This includes maintaining an efficient inventory management program, ensuring proper documentation for products leaving the location, and coordinating with other plants to minimize total company inventories. The role also emphasizes the importance of maintaining seasonal and non-seasonal inventory levels to meet customer demands. Store management responsibilities include keeping the store area and product displays organized and clean, ensuring that pricing and technical information is readily available, and providing excellent customer service. The Operations Support personnel must greet customers promptly and assist them effectively, whether they are in-store or on the phone. Additionally, the role encompasses equipment maintenance, where the individual will implement and maintain an efficient maintenance program to ensure that all equipment is in good working order and reflects a positive company image. The Operations Support personnel will also assist sales staff in customer interactions, handle complaints, and perform in-house sales as needed. Physical demands of the job include regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with various other physical activities. The position requires a valid CDL driver's license with HAZMAT endorsement, and the individual must work collaboratively with management to ensure that all employees are properly trained and certified.
