The Operations Support Specialist provides support for all employees by delivering training on processes, systems, and population health workflows. This role collaborates with office staff and physicians to implement workflow improvements and changes to optimize population health management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ experience with application training and support
  • Experience with Electronic Practice Management and Electronic Health Record systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Understanding of medical office practices

  • B.S. in Health Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Present and provide in-person training in a classroom setting to employees and providers at the Esse Health Central Office/HUB (located in Town & Country) using prescribed agendas
  • Conduct regular site visits, observe workflows, and introduce features to ease workflow
  • Monitor usage of EMR and EPM systems at assigned locations and recommend system utilization improvements
  • Provide advanced end-user support, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and make appropriate system parameter changes
  • Develop training materials and documentation
  • Partner with physician offices to enhance workflows using Lean Six Sigma principles
  • Use process and outcome data to facilitate performance improvement discussions
  • Design and document process or system setup changes for assigned projects
  • Review issue logs to identify and analyze system problem trends
  • Assist with template modifications and additions to EMR
  • Support communication and specialized business requests from departments
  • Test system upgrades and report issues as needed
  • Provide onsite support to new physicians, mid-level providers, and office managers
  • Report office-level findings to the Operations Manager
  • Support all ancillary products that interface/interact with EMR and EPM systems
