About The Position

The Operations Support I (Buyer) provides comprehensive merchandise, durable/non-durable goods purchase support for a task order for the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center; Engineering and Systems Integration (ESI) Directorate. Requirements

BA/BS with 3 years of experience or AA/AS with 5 years of experience
TS/SCI Clearance

Responsibilities

Buy merchandise or commodities, including both durable and nondurable goods.
Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield.
Select, order, and authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements.
Ensure that maximum effort is made to control costs and promote competition while purchasing parts, supplies, materials, equipment, software, and subcontracted services.
Provide weekly reporting of all purchases, the authorization number for the purchase, the status of the purchases (e.g., pending order, ordered, received, property accounted, invoiced), the job number covering the purchase, the Government POC for the purchase, the amount of the purchase and any Contractor cost associated with the purchase.
Provide tracking and reporting of purchases to include this contract and contracts supporting activities for cost tracking across projects.
