About The Position

The Operations Supervisor at Kane Logistics is responsible for managing daily operations and workflow within their department. This role involves assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results, and reporting to senior management. The Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing departmental efficiency by reviewing and improving processes, setting performance targets, and ensuring clear communication between team members and upper management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Supply Chain or a relevant field preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a distribution, 3PL, e-commerce, or warehouse environment.
• Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with timekeeping systems, ADP E-time is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and workflow of the team or department.
• Assign tasks and support staff in their roles.
• Monitor results and report to senior management.
• Review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency.
• Set performance targets and communicate them to subordinates.
• Ensure training is completed and records are maintained for compliance.
• Address and resolve customer complaints both verbally and in writing.
• Develop schedules, assign work, and implement productivity standards.
• Monitor employee productivity and provide feedback and coaching.
• Maintain timekeeping and personnel records for hourly direct reports.
• Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and undertake disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organizational standards.
