To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Operations Supervisor located in Austin TX. Reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources and managing an organization to achieve and maintain operational excellence. Additional focus on daily inventory activities including cycle counting, data collection, implementing and reviewing processes to maintain inventory security and integrity to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum value to the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain.
  • 5 years experience supervising individual contributors/large team.
  • 5 years in Supervisory in manufacturing field.
  • 5 years Management and Supervisory Experience.
  • Experience in Inventory Management.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and in charge of the line’s success.
  • Evaluate daily/regularly plant operating performance and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
  • Guide a team of professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and acknowledge requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of standards.
  • Identify root cause integrity discrepancies in the WIP warehouse(s).
  • Retrieve and research information from the Manufacturing Requirements Planning system (BAAN, etc.) and Manufacturing Execution System (FlexFlow) to remediate issues.
  • Liaise with other departments and senior department staff to highlight errors and implement improvements as required.
  • Carry out direct cycle count activities, in WIP Warehouse(s), on site and coordinate count staff to ensure count schedules are maintained.
  • Assist in development of process improvements on site in relation to inventory related process steps and hold up for implementation.
  • Support and perform regular internal audits and external audit preparation (i.e. Physical Inventory, Non-nettable warehouse locations, etc.) in accordance to company’s best practices and external required standards.
  • Produce statistical management information and key performance indicators measuring inventory performance and service levels provided to customer.
  • Monitor procedural compliance; hold up implementation of new procedures in conjunction with management and operations.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers and deal with requests and issues.
  • Provide escalation point to inventory management in relation to unresolved issues.
  • Maintain metrics acknowledge to site or corporate requirements and produce reports as needed (Work Order Aging, WIP Aging, Non-nettable Warehouse Aging, etc.).
  • Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and explore operational problems and advise on their resolution.
  • Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational comprehension and capability.
  • Solicit and evaluate ideas for plant improvements and contribute with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
  • Provide technical and operational advice to project teams.
  • Act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
  • Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
  • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
  • Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
  • Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
  • Actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing team members on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources.
