Overview The Operations Supervisor is responsible for establishing and executing Company strategy through an understanding of industry trends and best practices. Work with operations staff and internal AIT functions to provide the best overall warehouse services. Execution of those strategies includes establishing, measuring and managing to applicable metrics with all station staff, AIT vendors and internal AIT functions to ensure timely, efficient flow of warehouse operations for AIT.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • 3+ years Supervising experience and labor scheduling.
  • 3+ years experience performing inventory control and invoice auditing tasks.
  • 3+ years experience in domestic and cartage freight forwarding warehousing services.

  • Microsoft Office Suite Medium

Responsibilities

  • Act as departmental “lead” when Manager is not present on the floor. Including but not limited to serve as contact for key accounts that need special attention.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of trucks
  • Assist in the training of department employees on standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in contractor partnerships and guidance.
  • Analyzing and reporting on metric performance
  • Oversee efficiency of operational processes, along with implementing processes to reduce costs
  • Understand business requirements and customer needs
  • Research methods to improve operations and reduce costs
  • Monitor and report on department performance
  • Provide administrative support (example: updating inventory)
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards
