UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable and hardworking Operations Supervisor to join our family. As Operations Supervisor, you will be overseeing and directing activities of teams that receive and handle products and deliveries. Additionally, you will be making key decisions regarding the unloading, intake, storage and distribution of items. When working with UniFirst First Aid + Safety we provide a variety of shifts. Our standard is a 5-day work week, enjoy two days off a week. We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math formulas.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, reach and work on feet throughout a standard 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to operate machinery at heights.
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily checks of forklifts, trucks, and scissor lifts.
  • Inspect products at time of delivery to determine damages and confirm accurate products.
  • Work with Customer Service to ensure all return authorizations are complete.
  • Confirm the labeling of received items, as needed. This includes, updating Bin locations and rotate goods.
  • Record sign-off and log-in information on chipboard logs, as necessary.
  • Work with Scheduling & Procurement Supervisor on weekly cycle counts and quarterly reserves.
  • Conduct Monthly Checks and verification on bulk retention.
  • Manage the receiving and warehousing components, printed materials, and raw materials according to SOP.
  • Assemble documentation as required by SOP for incoming components and raw materials.
  • Assign Primary Bin locations for all new items.
  • Follow all Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP).
  • Maintain consistent workflow within receiving and shipping departments.
  • Perform order picking and packing quality audits to ensure accuracy of outgoing shipments.
  • Investigate and resolve all order picking, packing, and shipping errors to report findings to the Fulfillment and Logistics Supervisor.
  • Assist with picking, packing, and shipping, as needed.
  • Facilitate Warehouse Clerk training.
  • Direct staging and loading of all out bound freight shipping via common carrier and LTL carriers.
  • Ensure shipments are sent on proper carriers as directed by the Fulfillment and Logistics Supervisor and/or picking sheets.
  • Create and manage shipping batches daily.
  • Update Advance Shipping Notifications (ASN’s) daily.
  • Manage the distribution of all sales orders. This includes ensuring they are shipped on time and accurately.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Follow all safety policies, HACCP, and medical guidelines.
