About The Position
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of daily operations within the warehouse and dispatch environments. Requirements
- Proven experience in operations management or a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and dispatching procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
- Familiarity with safety training protocols and conducting safety audits.
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
Nice To Haves
- Certification in operations management or logistics (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma).
- Experience with PKMS or similar performance and knowledge management systems.
- Background in emergency response coordination or occupational health and safety.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and process improvement methodologies.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution center.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations of warehouse and dispatch teams to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Manage employee performance through coaching, training, and conducting regular evaluations to promote continuous improvement.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PKMS to monitor inventory, track shipments, and streamline dispatch processes.
- Conduct safety training sessions and perform routine safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Lead emergency response efforts, including preparedness planning and incident management, to minimize operational disruptions.
