About The Position

Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider with experience in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment, and labor needs. This position, described as an experienced Bilingual Warehouse Operations Manager fluent in both Spanish and English, reports to the General Manager for an asset-based logistics provider in the U.S. and Canada. The role involves providing leadership to direct a workforce in fulfilling orders for multiple clients. The operation serves a large client with varying inbound and outbound work volumes, requiring a strong understanding of labor management and forecasting. The objective is to optimize costs, maximize service levels, and achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Operations Management- Warehousing and Distribution (4+ years)
  • Experience in Tire manufacturing, food service and retail distribution
  • Development and execution of strategy / annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOP’s, customer plans, workshops, etc.)
  • Metrics measurements (i.e., labor, quality, employee productivity and efficiency)
  • Inventory and Labor Management
  • Customer Facing
  • Safety Program compliance (OSHA, Compliance Programs)
  • Supply Chain Technology: WMS
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Tire Warehouse Experience
  • Strong experience with SAP and WMS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in (Industrial/Mechanical) Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven operations leadership experience in a similar fast-paced process of ecommerce, fulfillment, manufacturing, production or distribution/logistics environment
  • Strong data analysis skills - Ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels
  • Past experience or study of startup operations and/or 3PL environments
  • Team player who can facilitate successful project work, operating to deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership to warehouse staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel, ensuring the team is motivated and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the warehouse.
  • Oversee accurate and timely receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Regularly conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Observe and follow health and safety regulations
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents
  • Assign designated safety personnel
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
